Encyclopedia > Hans Aumeier

Hans Aumeier (August 20, 1906 - December 22, 1947) was an official in Nazi Germany and a member of the SS with the rank of SS-Hauptsturmführer. He was commander of the Vaivara, Dachau, Esterwegan, Lichtenburg, Buchenwald, Flossenburg, Auschwitz, Riga and Grini concentration camps; Aumeier was sentenced to death in Kraków and executed on December 22, 1947.
