Harelbeke is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Harelbeke proper and the towns of Bavikhove and Hulste. On January 1st, 2004 Harelbeke had a total population of 26,006 (12,972 males and 13,034 females). The total area is 29.14 km² which gives a population density of 892.45 inhabitants per km².

SW Harelbeke mag ondanks de 1-2 nederlaag toch de barrage spelen door de nederlaag van Meerhout tegen Doornik, dus is er voor de Ratten nog altijd hoop om ook volgend seizoen in derde klasse te spelen.
Harelbeke werd immers van meet af aan gedomineerd door een bijzonder sterk Geel, dat echt niks verloren heeft in derde klasse.
