His career spanned from the early 1950s to the early 1990s. Although seen primarily on television, he also appeared on stage and in films, being nominated for a Tony Award in 1960 for his role in One More River. He had a continuing role as Perry Mason's nemesis Hamilton Burger in the 1973 television series The New Perry Mason. What is popularly called the Tony Award (formally, the Antoinette Perry Award for Excellence in Theatre) is an annual award celebrating achievements in live American theater, including musical theater, primarily honoring productions on Broadway in New York. ...


Harry Guardino died of lung cancer in California in 1995.
