Hiroshi Morie (森江 博 Morie Hiroshi, b. January 22, 1968 in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture), known as Heath, was the bassist of Japanese rock band X Japan. A former member of several bands in Japan in the late 1980s and early 1990s, including Paranoia, Media Youth, and Majestic Isabelle, Heath joined X Japan in 1992, replacing departed bassist Taiji. As the newest member of the band, Heath experienced a period of awkwardness with his new bandmates, as well as with the group's fans, who felt his musicianship was weaker than his predecessor's, and that his subdued style of dress did not fit in with X Japan's flamboyant sense of fashion. Heath's bass playing, less aggressive in style than Taiji's, first appears on the 1993 mini-album Art of Life. He also appears on 1996's Dahlia, which would be the group's last album.
