A band that Gem Archer of Oasis used to play in, before he joined them as the replacement for Bonehead as a lead and rythym guitarist.

Heavy Stereo was among a number of British guitar bands signed in the wake of Oasis' worldwide popularity in the mid-'90s; in fact, their only album, Deja Voodoo, was released on Creation Records, the label that discovered Oasis.
Stereo from their peers was their unapologetic affection for '70s glam rock; they were massively -- and blatantly -- influenced by such glam icons as the New York Dolls, Gary Glitter, and Sweet.
Moreover, Heavy Stereo couldn't find the international success enjoyed by their compatriots; glam rock had long since lost its flavor with the masses.

Heavy Stereo were one of these unlucky bands, tarred with the same brush as Shed Seven (undeservedly) they were largely dismissed as Oasis wannabes.
But whilst Oasis were busy trying to become the new Beatles, Heavy Stereo had their sights set on something considerably more glam.
Indeed, were Heavy Stereo to release this album again today, it would sit much more easily alongside the Darkness and the Libertines than it did with the Manics and Babybird.
