Helen Dubuois was introduced in the episode Movie Job as the manager of The Premiere, a movie theater. At the start of the episode, Helen is reluctant to give Josh a job, but does so anyway. Drake decides to get a job there as well, jealous of Josh's high wages. Helen immediately adores Drake and give him the role of "Assistant Manager", which angers Josh. Josh then tries to boost sales of popcorn at the theater, in an attempt to impress Helen. However, the promotion fails–people are injured whilst searching for the coveted "golden balls" that are hidden in popcorn containers. Helen is angered when paramedics arrive, and orders "the person who came up with the 'brilliant' popcorn idea to report to my office right now". Josh is immediately worried that he will lose his job, so Drake decides to implicate himself. Helen is shocked, and is forced to fire Drake. Whilst looking at Josh, she tells him that only employees are allowed into her office (she seems to forget about Josh several times throughout the episode), and then "hires" him to fill the staffing gap Drake's dispensation created. Helen sometimes ignores Josh and sometimes shows that she despises him. She appears to have at least some consideration for him though, as she bought him a birthday present (a pair of nose hair clippers) in one episode. She also seems annoyed by him at times. She once got angry at Drake for telling Josh about a party at her movie theatre. She seems to adore Drake though. She frequently rushes at him and gives him a bear hug on sight. She always has a compliment for him but fails to notice that he is somewhat creeped out by her presence.
