Henry Jacob Friendly (July 3, 1903 in Elmira, New York - 1986) served as a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on active service from 1959 through 1974 and in senior status from 1974 to 1986. He was appointed by President Eisenhower. He served as the Chief judge for the circuit from 1971 to 1973.
