The Holden Captiva is a crossover SUV sold under the Holden name, and built by GM Daewoo in South Korea.[1] The Captiva nameplate is essentially applied on two different vehicles: the Daewoo Winstorm and Opel Antara.[1] In markets outside of Australia and New Zealand, the rebadged Winstorm is known as the Chevrolet Captiva,[2], in the Middle East it is sold as the GMC Terrain, and in the United States the Antara is known as the Saturn VUE. General Motors in the United Kingdom also sells the Antara, but under the Vauxhall brand instead.[3] Image File history File links Metadata Size of this preview: 800 × 599 pixelsFull resolution‎ (2,130 × 1,596 pixels, file size: 1. ... CG (2006–present)

2006-2007 Holden Captiva SX.

The first generation CG Captiva was launched in October 2006 for Australia.[1] Captiva's styling was inspired by the 2004 Daewoo S3X concept car, and became the third Daewoo-sourced model to join the Holden lineup. Available in either five- or seven-seat configurations, the CG Captiva was initially launched with three trim levels: SX, CX, and LX. This was soon followed by the introduction of the Captiva MaXX.[1] The MaXX is based on the European designed Opel Antara, which is also built by Daewoo in South Korea. The Opel-designed derivative utilises a totally different design than the other Captiva variants, but shares the same underpinnings and powertrain components.[5] Image File history File links Metadata Size of this preview: 800 × 423 pixelsFull resolution‎ (1,528 × 808 pixels, file size: 669 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg) File historyClick on a date/time to view the file as it appeared at that time. ... The CG Captiva is powered by the Melbourne-built Alloytec 3.2 litre V6 engine, which is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission, featuring Active Select.[4] Due to a slightly different exhaust routing, the Captiva MaXX produces two kilowatts (3 hp) less power, than the SX, CX, and LX trim variants.[6] A four-cylinder turbodiesel engine, co-developed with VM Motori was introduced on February 28, 2007. Standard safety features include: anti-lock brakes, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), front seatbelt pre-tensioners and force limiters, and driver and front passenger airbags. The CX, LX and MaXX also receive side curtain airbags as apart of their equipment package. The CG body sheel constructed from high-strength steel, was designed to spread crash forces over distinct load channels, therefore ensuring the safety of the occupants within the safety cell.[6] The vehicle's active all-wheel drive system is fully incorporated with the ESP and anti-lock braking systems, consequently increasing car handling and crash safety. When the driving conditions determine the need for improved traction, the vehicle’s all-wheel drive system instigates. In ordinary driving situations, only the vehicle's front wheels are employed.[6] The 3600 LY7 (and derivative LP1) are members of General Motors new High Feature (or HFV6) engine family of modern DOHC V6s. ...
