At night-time, a crowd of nematodes are hungry. They start eating lots of things, such as Fred's boat. Then they decide that they are thirsty, so they drink the juice out of SpongeBob's pineapple house. This causes it to shrink until it becomes nothing. SpongeBob and Gary now have to get a new home. At first, they share Patrick's rock, but Patrick's stupidity and bad luck causes them to go to Squidward. Squidward accepts (only because he's semi-conscious), and when he realizes what he's done, he kicks them out. The next day, SpongeBob and Gary pack their bags, ready to go back to Mom and Dad's house. He finds a small pebble (the only thing left when the nematodes ate/drank his house) in his pocket, and buries it where his house used to be. He sheds a tear on it, and he walks away. This pebble is actually a seed, and his tear causes his house to grow back. The house is placed back where it was, on top of dancing Squidward. Image File history File links Home_Sweet_Pineapple. ... Trivia/Goofs

  • First appearance of Mr. and Mrs. SquarePants.
  • When SpongeBob says to Gary, "Well, looks like we have to move back in with Mom and Pop!", this indicates that SpongeBob had owned Gary before he moved out of his parents' house.
  • When SpongeBob is in his parents' car, he says "Good-bye Bikini Bottom!", this indicates that SpongeBob's parents do not live in Bikini Bottom.
  • When Squidward ran out of his house right after he woke up, SpongeBob's parents mention they have dinner waiting, even though it's morning. This could mean That Mr. and Mrs. SquarePants' home is many hours away.
  • First appearance of nematodes in the show. They didn't appear again until the season 4 episode Best Day Ever, although they are mentioned in Sailor Mouth.
  • Even though SpongeBob claimed nothing else was left from his house except a pebble, he is shown carrying two suitcases full of belongings out to the car as his parents drive him and Gary over to their house.
  • Nematodes are possibly a spoof of grasshoppers.

Pineapple Growing in the Florida Home Landscape (4176 words)
Pineapple plants in the home landscape are susceptible to injury caused by lawn mowers and weed eaters.
Roots of mature pineapple plants spread beyond the drip-line of the leaves and heavy fertilization of the lawn adjacent to plant is not recommended and may reduce fruiting and or fruit quality.
Pineapple plants may be induced to flower by short-day lengths, cool/cold weather, and dry or drought conditions (Table 1).
Home Fruit Production (1478 words)
Pineapple is probably native to Brazil but was present throughout the American tropics when Columbus encountered the fruit on the island of Guadeloupe in 1493 on his second voyage.
At the turn of the last century, Florida was the leading producer of pineapples until the industry was decimated by a presumed disease, which later was found to be mealybugs, at which time Hawaii became the leading producer.
If the pineapple mother plant is large and healthy, and if you leave one or two suckers on it while the fruit is developing, additional fruit will form and be ready for harvest about a year after the initial fruit.
