The Hood River Police Department was established in 1895. The department currently consists of 15 sworn members: one Chief, one Captain, one Lieutenant, two Sergeants, one Criminal Detective, one Narcotics Detective, and eight patrol officers. Additionally, the department employs three Non-Sworn members including: an Administrative Assistant, a Municipal Court Clerk and a Parking Enforcement Officer.
