Person Matthew Hoogland, born 1984, known to many as Hoogland or Hoogs is a friendly and popular 22 year old attending the Australian National University in the capital city of Canberra. He is known to have a genially boisterous attitude and develops many friendships and admirers for this reason. Hoogland plays in several amateur sporting competitions both in teams and individually and is acknowledged to have a laudable, sportsmanlike approach to his and others' participation. Most notably, he recently won the pool competition at the university bar for three consecutive weeks before being disallowed to compete for a fortnight; a consequence many have received as unjustifiable and at odds with the rules of the competition and the ethos of the patrons of the venue. |
