"Hooked on a Feeling" is a 1969 pop song written by Mark James originally preformed by B. J. Thomas. That version reached #5 on the Billboard charts. In 1971, Jonathan King produced his own version, adding the ooga chacka jungle chants from Johnny Preston's "Running Bear." It was subsequently covered by Swedish pop group Blue Swede in 1974. This version it reached #1. It was covered again in 1999 by David Hasselhoff. B. J. (Billy Joe) Thomas (born August 7, 1942) in Hugo, Oklahoma and grew up around Houston, Texas, is a country singer. ...
