Huangpu river, known as the mother river of Shanghai, which rises in the Tai Lake, Jiangsu Province, flows through the urban area of the city and empties into the mouth of the Yangtze River, with a total length of 112 kilometers.
It is known to all that the beautiful Huangpu River, also called the mother of this metropolis, embodies all the quintessences of Shanghai's attractive scenes.
Xupu Bridge links the two banks of the Huangpu River in the southern part of Shanghai, thus greatly facilitating the communication between Pudong (the east area of the Huangpu River) and Puxi (the west area).
