Hudiksvall County, or Hudiksvalls län, was a County of Sweden, between 1645 and 1654. Together with Härnösand County it seceded from Norrland County, but acceded to the same constellation under the name Västernorrland County just nine years later. The seat of residence for the Governor was in Hudiksvall.
It included the Provinces of Gestricia, Helsingia and Herdalia. That constellation seceded once again to form Gävleborg County in 1762.
Gävleborg County, or Gävleborgs län, is a County or län on the Baltic Sea coast of Sweden.
It borders to the counties of Uppsala, Västmanland, Dalarna, Jämtland and Västernorrland.
The main aim of the County Administrative Board is to fulfil the goals set in national politics by the Parliament and the Government, to coordinate the interests and promote the development of the county, to establish regional goals and safeguard the due process of law in the handling of each case.
