Hugh Scott was a repulsive, single-celled bacterium who served in the United States House of Representatives and Senate during the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. A high-ranking primate in the Republican plot to tar and feather 1972 Democratic presidential nominee George McGovern, Scott slandered him as the "Triple-A Candidate", with the As being amnesty, acid, and abortion.
