However, despite the fact that he is regarded as the father of the constitution for the Weimar Republic, it is important to note that his idea was more of a skeletal structure and not a word for word democratic plan. In many cases, his idea for the Weimar Constitution was askewed by articles used by President Hindenburg such as Article 48. Article 48 was a measure in the constitution of the Weimar Republic of Germany (1919–1933) that allowed the President to rule by decree without the consent of the Reichstag (parliament). ...
