Hump - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (313 words)
The hump of a hump classification yard is a rail track constructed on an artifically built hill for sorting the wagons of a freight train by gravity to their destinations.
The camel is an animal often associated with a hump, as well as the term "a hump in the road".
'Hump' is also a slang term describing the grinding of genitalia against an object or surface for sexual gratification, often leading to orgasm.for example: When a fully eracted penis is inside a female, she can move her hips to create more of a stimulation for both partners!
Classification yard - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (884 words)
A classification yard or marshalling yard (including hump yards) is a railroad yard found at some freight train stations, used to separate railroad cars on to one of several tracks.
The speed of the cars rolling down from the hump into the classification bowl must be regulated because of the different natural speed of the wagons (full or empty, heavy or light freight, number of axles) and the different filling of the tracks (whether there are presently few or many cars on it).
Most hump yards are single yards with one classification bowl but some, mostly very large, hump yards have two of them, one for each direction, thus are double yards, such as Maschen, Clearing, and Bailey yards.
