Many high-profile criminals, particularly those who have committed atrocious crimes, receive fan mail in prison, presumably as a result of this phenomenon. In some cases, admirers of these criminals have gone on to marry the object of their affections in prison. An example of this is Ted Bundy who is known to have received about two hundred fan letters each day from female admirers. Robbery is the crime of seizing property through violence or intimidation. ... Fan mail is mail sent to a public figure, especially a celebrity, by their admirers or fans. Fan mails may be in the form of letters, cards, artworks, gifts, and so on; depending on the recepient, it may also be possible to send fan mails via email. ... Theodore Robert Ted Bundy (November 24, 1946 – January 24, 1989) was one of the most notorious serial killers in U.S. history. ...
