    Sure, there were some great bands in the 70s that really paved the path for the 80s bands but compared to the 80s bands, I find that alot of 80s bands are just better in terms of sound.
    I mean, in the 80s, you had guitarists playing blazing guitar solos and cool heartfelt riffs on power ballads that alot of the 70s bands did not have.
    by the way, the 70s trashed the 80s, the 80s trashed the 90s, and as for the 00s, we have 4 more years to hope that the 00s can trash the 90s...because the dawn of pop, rap, pop punk, and emo such etc. must be ended.
