BBC - De Orllewin - Ieuan Evans (465 words)
Dwy flynedd yn ddiweddarach, gwireddwyd breuddwyd Ieuan o chwarae dros Llanelli ac yn y Strade y cafodd e gyfle i ddatblygu'r sgiliau ar nodweddion hynny i fod yn chwaraewr o'r radd flaenaf.
Mae Ieuan wedi chwarae ymhob un o gwpanau'r byd, wedi ymddangos saith gwaith dros y Llewod ac mae'n aelod o'r criw dethol hwnnw sydd wedi chwarae drostynt yn Awstralia yn 1989, Seland Newydd 1993 a De Affrig 1997.
Pan oedd Evans yn chwarae i Lanelli fe enillodd bob anrhydedd ac felly yn 1997 wrth chwilio am her newydd fe aeth dros y ffin a chwarae i Gaerfaddon.
CNN/SI - Rugby Union - Injuries force end to Evans' career - Wednesday March 31, 1999 03:31 PM (419 words)
Evans' pace and determination inspired his national teammates during a bleak period for Welsh rugby and contributed to his record 33-try haul.
In 1993 Evans became a national hero by stripping the ball from English winger Rory Underwood to claim an opportunistic try as Wales beat arch-rivals England 10-9 in Cardiff.
Evans left Welsh club Llanelli for Bath in 1997 but his most recent injury, a stress fracture of the foot, has kept him off the field for most of the current season.
