An impregnation fetish is a paraphilia characterized by arousal or gratification from the possibility or risk of impregnation through unprotected vaginal sex. Paraphilia (in Greek para παρά = besides and -philia φιλία = friendship)—in psychology and sexology, is a term that describes a family of persistent, intense fantasies, urges, or behaviors involving sexual arousal to nonhuman objects, pain or humiliation experienced by oneself or ones partner, or children or other nonconsenting individuals. ...

This term is a common name, as paraphilia is not actually a sexual fetish. Sexual fetishism, first described as such by Sigmund Freud though the concept and certainly the activity is quite ancient, is a form of paraphilia where the object of affection is a specific inanimate object or part of a persons body. ...

Given that the root biological purpose of sex is procreation, the degree to which this fetish qualifies as a paraphilia is debatable. Paraphilia (in Greek para παρά = besides and -philia φιλία = friendship)—in psychology and sexology, is a term that describes a family of persistent, intense fantasies, urges, or behaviors involving sexual arousal to nonhuman objects, pain or humiliation experienced by oneself or ones partner, or children or other nonconsenting individuals. ...

Those with an impregnation fetish may indulge in their fantasy through erotic stories, chat with like-minded persons or actually act out the fantasy with a partner. Role playing is often a large part of this sexual fetish, as many do not actually wish to have a child but rather are aroused by the that possibility during intercourse. Responsibility for birth control in this case is usually accepted by the female, as condom use destroys the impregnation fantasy.

The impregnation fetish should not be confused with pregnancy fetishism or maiesiophilia. People who have a pure impregnation fetish are interested in conception only, and therefore have no interest in a woman who is already pregnant, as there is no possibility of impregnating her. This does not adequately cite its references or sources. ...

However, a number of impregnation fetishists are aroused by pregnant women as well, and indulge in pregnant sex or pregnant sex fantasy as part of their gratification.
