In My Tribe is the breakthrough album by folk-rock band 10,000 Maniacs. Without John Lombardo, who was Natalie Merchant's partner on writing the songs of the other albums and left the band in 1986, Natalie started new partnerships in writing songs with the other members of the band, the one with Robert Buck being the most constant and prolific.
