Geography

Indialantic is located at 28°5'16" North, 80°34'8" West (28.087861, -80.568857)GR1. It is situated on the barrier island that separates the Indian River Lagoon from the Atlantic Ocean. This island, approximately 35 miles in length, stretches south from Cape Canaveral to the Sebastian Inlet (see the Sebastian Inlet State Park). A causeway across the Indian River Lagoon connects the beach community of Indialantic to the more metropolitan city of Melbourne, Florida. Indialantic is neighbored by the town of Melbourne Beach to the south and Indian Harbour Beach to the north.
