State Road 53 in the U.S. State of Indiana is a state highway in northwest Indiana that runs from U.S. Route 231 in Crown Point north to Gary at the main gate of the U.S. Steel plant. Its terminus may also be considered to be the Interstate 90 (Indiana Toll Road), only a few hundred feet to the south of the main gate. This is a distance of about 14.07 miles (22.64 km).
