Innaloo was originally named "Njookenbooroo", an aboriginal name for a nearby swamp.
While the name Innaloo was adopted in 1927, it was originally referred to as Njookenbooroo; believed to be derived from the Aboriginal name for Herdsman Lake or a nearby swamp.
Local customers and community organisations have praised Innaloo Centrelink's Community Corner initiative, saying the facility gives customers easy access to local services.
The Community Corner allows customers to get more support under one roof by being able to access community services while visiting Innaloo Centrelink.
Lorraine Gillett, Volunteer Services Coordinator for the City of Stirling, said her organisation enjoys using Innaloo Centrelink's Community Corner.
