Innocent Eyes is a collection of piano-based pop, ballad tracks. Goodrem co-wrote most of the material, excluding "Throw It Away", "Lost Without You" and "Butterfly". It features two solely self-penned songs, "In My Own Time" and "Will You Fall For Me". Producers and writers for the album include the True North production and songwriting team of Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy, Ric Wake (Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey), Matthew Gerrard (Mandy Moore, BB Mak), Vince Pizzinga (Midnight Oil, Danielle Spencer), David Nicholas (INXS, Elton John, George), The Rembrandts and Mark Holden.
