Establish on 1 April 1992, ITE is a statutory board under the Ministry of Education in Singapore. It is a post-secondary institution that provides pre-employment training to not only secondary school leavers but also continuing education and training to working adults. It provides full-time, part-time and traineeship courses that ranges from engineering to technical, business and service skills areas. Full-time courses in ITE comprises 1 year or 2 year courses, where upon completion of the course, students will receive a locally recongnised 'Higher National ITE Certificate (Higher Nitec)' or 'National ITE Certificate (Nitec)'.
