The Institute has two campuses, the north campus located in Dromtacker and the south campus located in Clash approximately 1.5 miles apart. The north campus specalises in Business and Computer Studies, Hotel Catering & Tourism Studies and Nursing Studies while the School of Engineering & Construction Studies and Health & Leisure Studies are based on the south campus. The south campus has been in operation since the opening of the Institute, while the north campus has been open since 2001. The continuing development of the north campus will eventually lead to the entire institue being relocated to Dromtacker. Situated on the same site in Dromtacker is the Kerry Technology Park, owned and operated by Shannon Development. The Park and the Institute often work closely together, developing curricula and providing an exchange of students to work in the Park. In September 2004, a new Nursing complex opened in the north campus. The "Solás building" as it is known is equipped with millions of euro worth of equipment and computers. It has it own ward setting with life like dummies as patients, this is where the student nurses learn all their practical nursing skills.
