The International Hockey Federation (Fédération Internationale de Hockey sur Gazon, or FIH) is the global body governing the sport of field hockey, which is known simply as hockey in many countries. The organisation was based in Brussels, but moved to Lausanne in 2005. The FIH manage the World Hockey Cup, which takes place every four years, midway between Olympic years, and other various international tournaments, including the Champions Trophy.
