The World Scout Jamboree (Jamboree Mondial in French) is a gathering of Scouts (ages 14-17) from all over the world. Jamborees are held every four years and are organized by the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). The World Scout Moot is a similar event, also organized by the WOSM, for Scouts aged 18-30.
During any given year there are up to 10 Jamborees (or smaller Jamborettes) somewhere in the world. Regional Jamborees occur every three years, such as Asia Pacific or Pan African Jamborees.
Two other worldwide Scouting events occur every year: the simultaneous World Scout Jamboree On The Air (JOTA) and the World Scout Jamboree On The Internet (JOTI). Recently, the Jamboree on the Trail (JOTT) has been founded as an international day of hiking.
Scouting does not exist in isolation; it is part of the community and it needs to work in partnership with others, from individuals to organizations and institutions at local, national and world levels' (The Strategy for Scouting).
The World Scout Parliamentary Union (WSPU) is an international organisation that unites the National Scout Parliamentary Associations (NSPAs) which exist in almost 100 countries world-wide and their members are Members of national Parliaments, Deputies or Senators.
The InternationalScout and Guide Fellowship (ISGF) is a worldwide organisation for adults in support of Scouting and Guiding and who want to strengthen the dialogue between communities through community-oriented projects worldwide.
