The 52.56 mile (84.59km) long Interstate 295 in Virginia is an eastern bypass of Richmond and Petersburg as well as a northern bypass of Richmond.
The southern terminus is a junction with Interstate 95 southeast of Petersburg.
Interstate 295 has another junction with Interstate 95 north of Richmond and continues westward to its other terminus at a junction with Interstate 64.
