Isaac ffrost is by the grante of the Plantation possessed of 20 acres of land to him, his heirs & Assigns forever, lying on the West northwest from Jonathan Taylors field, it being propounded at a former Towne meetig May 9, 1699.
The heirs of Isaac Colton have granted to them, their heirs & assignes forever, 20 acres of land upon the hill on the back end of the murry meddow on the south side of rasbury brooke on the back side of the long meddow, it being propounded at a former Towne meeting March 12th, 1700.

Heman Colton came in 1806, and worked at clearing land until he saved enough money to make a payment on a 103 acre tract in the north part of the town.
Heman Colton was another early settler in this part of the town, where he opened a large farm.
From that time the history of the bank has been a record of continued success, and it is regarded as one of the safe financial institutions of the the county.
