Islamic Force (also spelled I$lamic Force and $lamic Force) is a rap group from Berlin-Kreuzberg, Germany, composed mostly of people whose ancestors or parents come from Turkey. The group - now disbanded - is one of the first Turkish-speaking crews from Germany. Their first 12", "My Melody", appeared already in 1992. After the release of their full length CD "Mesaj", the group soon disbanded. Killa Hakan pursued a solo career, and Derezon produced tracks for Turkish-German female rapper Aziza A.

Government forces were approaching Kismaayo slowly because of land mines, residents north of the city said.
On Sunday, Islamic movement forces appeared to be digging in for battle in the forested area, and a leader of the movement in Kismaayo vowed to wage a relentless campaign against the Ethiopians, who are widely perceived in Somalia as invaders, not liberators.

Islamic militiamen and secular fighters battled Wednesday, May 10, 2006 for control of Somalia's capital despite promises of a cease-fire, as the death toll rose to at least 96, with nearly 200 others wounded.
Militia loyal to the Islamic Court Union, a grouping of radical Islamic leaders banded together in a self-appointed court system, have been fighting since Sunday to capture a strategic road through northern Mogadishu from the secular Alliance for the Restoration of Peace and Counterterrorism.
Islamic radicals have built up their forces as part of a campaign to install an Islamic government in Somalia, something opposed by warlords who divided the country into clan-based fiefdoms following the overthrow of longtime dictator Mohamed Siad Barre in 1991.
