Izegem is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Izegem proper and the towns of Emelgem and Kachtem. On January 1st, 2004 Izegem had a total population of 26,539 (13,055 males and 13,484 females). The total area is 25.48 km² which gives a population density of 1,041.44 inhabitants per km².
