Biography Early Life Chasez was adopted and raised by Roy and Karen Chasez.[1] His biological mother, who was homeless, entrusted Chasez' care in her former foster parents Roy and Karen when Chasez turned five, knowing that they would be able to provide him with an education and a stable family life.[2] Chasez has said that he does not know who his biological father is, and has no plans to search for him.[2] A homeless man pushes a cart down the street. ...
After being adopted, Chasez was raised in Bowie, Maryland as a Mennonite.[3] He has one brother and one sister.[2] Chasez attended the former Belair Junior High School and then Bowie High School. His mother read an article in the Washington Post announcing auditions for Disney's The Mickey Mouse Club, and encouraged Chasez to try out. Chasez was soon cast as a performer in the third season and stayed until the show's cancellation in 1994.
