Freddie Joe Brisco most to known as Jack Brisco (born September 21, 1941 in Blackwell, Oklahoma) was a popular and successful professional wrestler during 1970s, and into the 1980s. Brisco attended the University of Oklahoma, where he played football and eventually turned to wrestling. He became NCAA National Amateur Wrestling Champion. His first NWA World Heavyweight Championship reign came when he defeated Harley Race in Houston, Texas on July 20, 1973. Brisco was inducted into the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2005.
