Jackson County is a county in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the population was 158,422. The county seat is Jackson ⁶. It is named for U.S. President Andrew Jackson. It is considered to be one of Michigan's "Cabinet counties", named for members of Jackson's Cabinet.
