Jackson County is a county in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the population was 158,422. The county seat is Jackson6. It is named for U.S. President Andrew Jackson. It is considered to be one of Michigan's "Cabinet counties", named for members of Jackson's Cabinet.
