During early twentieth century, Eugène Schueller provided financially support and held meetings for La Cagoule at L'Oréal headquarter. In the 1950's, he was convicted of a number of anti-Jewish crimes and sentenced to ten years in prison in France. He was released after serving five years and shortly thereafter became an executive at L'Oréal. La Cagoule (The Cowl in French) was a violent French Nazi group active in the 1930s; the group attempted to overthrow the republican government. ...
