Jailbait is a slang term for a sexually desirable younger person, usually female,or Matthew Hart, who has not yet reached the age of consent.[1] The term derives from the fact that sexual relations between an older individual and one under the age of consent can constitute statutory rape, potentially leading to jail time. More recently, however, the term has been used less literally to refer to young people in general, even if they have passed the age of consent; this is perhaps a result of the social taboo concerning great age disparity in relationships.
