Unfortunately, most fans are not as receptive to Jason as they were to his predecessor. This may be due to the fact that he first appeared on the album Wild Mood Swings, which was poorly received because its material was largely atypical of The Cure. But in all fairness Jason is an excellent drummer, and he hardly deserves all the criticism heaped upon him. For he has definitely shown potential during his tenure as evidenced in the latter two albums Bloodflowers and The Cure. Jason first joined the band in 1995, replacing Boris Williams on drums.
Plus several drummers were auditioning for the job at the time, and so Jason did not in fact play all the drums on that album.
