A native of Huntington, New York, Jalbert attended University of Virginia where he was twice named first team All-American. In 1999, Jay teamed with Conor Gill to lead the Caveliers to the NCAA national title and was named to the all-tournament team. Jalbert is ranked fifth all-time on the UVA goals scored list with 112 goals in 58 games[1].
