Jay Lane, born 5 December 1964, is an American drummer who currently plays and sings in Ratdog, ex-Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir's solo project. He was an original member of Primus, along with Les Claypool, and Todd Huth, and appears on the original-Primus-lineup reunion album, Riddles Are Abound Tonight. Lane also appeared on the Charlie Hunter Trio jazz album, which was released on Les Claypool's Prawn Song record label.
