 His Highness Sri. Jaya Chama Raja Wadiyar Bahadur GCSI GCB (1919–1974), or more commonly known as Maharaja Jayachamaraja Wadiyar, was the 25th and the last King from the illustrious Wadiyar (Wodeyar) dynasty, which ruled the Indian state of the Kingdom of Mysore from 1399 to 1950. He is also known by many other variations of his name, such as Jaya Chamaraja Wadiyar, Jaya Chamarajendra Wadiyar, Wodeyar, and at times with the royal suffix Bahadur. He was a philosopher, musicologist, political thinker and philanthropist. He was the beloved of his subjects. He ascended the throne of the Mysore on September 8, 1940 after the demise of his uncle Maharaja Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar.
