Jean Pierre Jarier (born July 10, 1946) is a French Grand Prix racing driver, now retired. He began his career in Formula Two before moving up to Formula One in 1973. He retired from Formula One in 1983 but continued to take part in touring car racing.
He participated in 142 grands prix, debuting on September 5, 1971. He achieved 3 podiums, and scored a total of 31.5 championship points.
