In the fictional universe of Star Wars, once a Jedi completes his or her training they are given three choices, they could become a Jedi Guardian, Jedi Consular or Jedi Sentinel. A Jedi Sentinel ferrets out deceit and injustice, bringing it to light. They strike a balance between the Jedi Guardian who focuses on physical training and the Jedi Consular who focuses on mental discipline. A Jedi Sentinel carries a yellow-bladed lightsaber as a standard.
Jedi Knight is the most common rank of Jedi, hence, the title is also used, mostly by non-Jedi, to refer to any member of the order that has at least met the compulsory requirements of the Jedi Council.
