After the Giants drafted Eli Manning, he agreed to switch to number 17, coinciding with the number of seasons he was entering that year. The next year, upon the signing of Plaxico Burress from free agency in 2005, Feagles again sold off his number 17, agreeing to wear 18 instead (2006 was his 18th year), in exchange for a new outdoor BBQ addition to his house.
