Jerry Garcia Acoustic Band (8-29-1987 to 12-5-1987) Jerry Garcia - guitar, vocals John Kahn - bass David Nelson - guitar, vocals Sandy Rothman - mandolin, dobro, banjo, vocals Kenny Kosek - fiddle David Kemper - drums (guest on some shows) Garcia and Sandy Rothman had played together in The Black Mountain Boys. JGAB band formed in 1987 and made their first public appearance at The Old Filmore on March 17, 1987 at a benefit concert. The JGAB played the Lunt-Fontaine Theatre for a two-week Broadway run and then continued with runs at the Warfield in San Francisco and the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles, Other appearances include Electric on the Eel concert,the Sonoma County club, the Cotati Cabaret, Frost Amphitheatre, and the Creating a Better Future Benefit.
