King Wu of Zhou (ch 周武王 Pinyin: zhōu wŭ wáng) or King Wu of Chou was the first sovereign of the Chinese Zhou Dynasty. Various sources quoted that he passed away at the age of 93, 54 or 43. Zhou Gong Dan was one of his brothers.

In 827BC, Ji Jing (®V¹t), a descendant of Ji Fa was crowned Zhou King Xuan (©P«Å¤ý), the 11th King of the Zhou Dynasty.
Ji Juetu (®V±¸¬ð), the eldest son of Ji You, became the new ruler of the State of Zheng.
Ji Juetu followed Zhou King Ping to live in Cheng Zhou and the State of Zheng, in the west of the county of Hua in Shaanxi province, was left without a ruler.

Ji Chang's reputation soon brought a wealth of qualified people to serve in his court and his wise administration made the State of Zhou a strong western power, strong enough to alert King Zhou of the Shang Dynasty.
Ji Fa's brother, Zhou Kung, acting as regent for the former king's young son, crushed the remaining rebellious tribes in three years of fighting all over China.
