Jill Emery (born 1962) is an artist and musician currently based in Los Angeles. She is best known as the bassist for the alternative rock band Hole from 1989-1992; she left the band after the release of Hole's debut album Pretty on the Inside and was replaced by Leslie Hardy. She has played in various other bands such as Mazzy Star, Shadow Project and Super Heroines. Alternative rock (also called alternative music[1] or simply alternative) is a genre of rock music that emerged in the 1980s and became widely popular in the 1990s. ...
