JimRayburn was a leader and pioneer with the multi-divisional Walt Disney Company (Canada) Ltd. for 41 years.
In 1969, Jim became the Director of Marketing and Sales for Walt Disney Music, Canada ’s vast library of original movie soundtrack recordings, as well as their extensive series of storyteller books and tapes, which were generally sold in the toy departments.
Jim was a strong advocate for the protection of intellectual property rights and has played a key role in executing anti-piracy measures in Canada.
In 1938, JimRayburn, a young Presbyterian youth leader in Gainesville, Texas, was given a challenge.
After graduating from Dallas Seminary, Rayburn and four other seminarians collaborated, and Young Life was officially born on October 16, 1941, with its own Board of Trustees.
Young Life has grown from a ministry with suburban senior high school kids to a ministry to middle school kids, as well as kids in rural, multiethnic/urban and international areas, kids with disabilities and teenage mothers.
